Job Description

Purpose of the role:


  • The position exists in order to head & manage the entire life cycle of human resources from their hiring, to their engagement & development till their seprataion from the organization with the objective of effectively managing and creating a high performance organisation in most effective manner within the limits of the value system of the organisation.

Key responsibilities (non-conclusive):

  • Responsible for heading and managing the HR function of the company.
  • Draw up Annual Operating Plan for HR (Manpower budgeting)
  • Responsible for senior level decision making and both day to day management and strategic direction of the business.
  • Develop and implement an annual agenda for HR strategy in line with the business plan. Ensure HR plans support the needs of the business but are also flexible enough to cope with changes in the organization, as and when they occur
  • Lead and manage the HR function in accordance with the prescribed guidelines/company policies
  • Supervise the complete employee life cycle encompassing, but not limited to, sourcing and selection, on-boarding, transfers, compensation and payroll management, exit formalities, statutory formalities and compliances
  • Support corporate talent development initiatives by ensuring deployment across the business
  • Work closely with the relevant local business managers in assessing and responding to any HR issues or opportunities
  • Provide leading support in talent acquisition and talent development initiative roll-outs and implementation as part of Human Resource Strategic Group in the organization
  • Provide guidance on general Employee Relation/IR issues (identification and resolution).
  • Responsible for Wage settlements and all regulatory matters
  • Support management with resource planning for their relevant areas through workforce analysis, leaver analysis, redeployment etc
  • Support management with the implementation of performance management process (goal setting, measurement and reward and career/development planning) for the business through working in coordination with Corporate HR.
  • Support the compensation and benefits projects initiated at corporate level by collating the data, analysis, trend identification and finalizing the outcome for the business.
  • Motivate, train and manage the HR team and staff in general to ensure business efficiency is maintained
  • Respond to intense and complex interpersonal situations with sensitivity and insight
  • Build sustainable long term mutually beneficial relationships with the local community and business partners/vendors
  • HR digital transformation by implementing SAP S4/HANA and SuccessFactors

Educational Qualification & Skill Requirements:

  • MBA/PG in HR with experience of atleast 20 years.
  • Prefer talent having experience in infrastructure, power/energy, engineering, & manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong multiple stakeholder management. Ability to challenge and influence to drive HR initiatives
  • Should possess good knowledge on statutory compliance and labour law
  • Should have good experience in managing IR matters (handled large workforce)
  • Must have strategic mindset with strong execution leg
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Strategic Leadership skills.
  • Strong people management skills, ability to build, motivate, connect and manage a team.
