We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist

Principal responsibilities

• Accountable for ensuring the products & services are supported by the right architectures and solutions meet the customer needs
• Accountable for ensuring the design of the product solutions are cost effective and maintained through the agile development lifecycle, managing the flow of the backlog of design activities
• Working with Ops Engineers to ensure operational issues (performance, operator intervention, alerting, design defect related issues, etc) are resolved and that any design related issues are addressed in a timely manner.
• Convert requirements into actionable product/service requirements that feed IT solutions development & influence service direction.
• Responsible for ensuring solutions are aligned with the platform architecture and roadmap, group standards and policies and the overall enterprise architecture for their function

Qualifications

Preferred Education:

• Degree in Computer Science/Engineering
• Experience of working in the Control / Conduct space - advantageous
• Experience of time-critical regulatory remediation projects in Banking - advantageous
• Experience of working in a back-office environment in an investment bank – advantageous
  

Requirements

• Ability to solve complex problems and propose solutions
• Designing and developing Microservices using Java and Spring Boot
• Strong experience with back-end technologies: Microservice architecture, Java 8, Spring Boot Admin, Spring Batch, Spring Integration
• Experience of working and/or architecting with Front End technologies (e.g. Angular 8+, HTML, CSS3)
• Knowledge and experience of Agile frameworks and practices such as Scrum, Kanban
• Strong Exposure on RDBMS (e.g. Oracle/SQL)
• DevOps & Tooling expertise with exposure to CI/CD Deployments using tools such as Git, MAVEN, Jenkins, Sonar etc.
• Hands on experience on Unix/ Linux environments
• People Management skills including coaching, conflict resolution, interpersonal skills
• Experience of leading and driving small projects by interacting with various stakeholders like users, Ops team, architects, DBAs, interfacing teams, vendor teams, etc.
• Exposure to Message/Event driven architectures working with IBM MQ, SOLACE, Kafka etc.
• Exposure to message serialization and data interchange using XMLs, XSDs etc.
• Practical and experience of configuring Elastic Search experience will be advantageous
• Container experience in Dockers and Kubernetes will be advantageous
