Data Catalog Analyst will be key in supporting Product Manager Data Catalog executing on the C hief D ata O fficer ’s governance strategy. Data Catalog Analyst will be mainly responsible for documenting metadata in a central location thereby establishing visibility and transparency while collaborating with various stakeholders and promoting the use of a common shared language . The role requires both technical and business-oriented skills, including basic understanding of data modelling and programming , as well as acumen in domains such as Relational Databases and cloud storage concepts. Strong communication and collaboration skills are a must.

  • Create, maintain global and business specific BI reports tracking catalog’s core metrics , eg usage, completeness, access requests audit and etc
  • Maintain and improve quality of catalog’s content guided by established quantitative metrics
  • Gatekeep ing to ensur e that business definitions are cl ear and unambiguous
  • Review and assign issues raised by users – facilitate resolution, when needed
  • Create complete product documentation and keep it up to date
  • Helps to create, implement, and document processes and procedures for metadata collection, storage, use and security
  • D ocument and enforc e rules around meta data collection, storage and use
  • Support Product Manager in establishing a catalog user group, document period ic meetings
  • S upport Product Manager onboarding of new teams through user training, workshops and doctor sessions
