Job Description – Director, QA, Bangalore, NextGen Healthcare India.

Job Summary:

Responsible for establishing and leading a QA Testing team and driving the QA Excellence by adopting modern Test methodologies and techniques. NextGen is embracing Lean Agile methodology of product development and a comprehensive transformation is underway to succeed with the same. As part of that, Test Process improvement that shifts the testing left is a key imperative. Champion continuous improvement efforts and defect reduction initiatives to establish an effective Quality Management System. Responsible for the development and execution of organization quality assurance standards, testing approaches, and automation framework.

Effectively work in organizational matrix. Be a collaborative peer to other leaders in QA department and in Development, PMO functions etc., both locally and globally.

• Proven track record with 15 years of hands-on experience designing, architecting and delivering scalable product solutions

• Extensive experience and mastery in leading large QA teams and owns the quality and delivery of the project

• Collaborate with executives across Nextgen driving employee and stakeholder engagement to be the best in the industry

• Empower, nurture and build deep technical and managerial leadership.

• Requires strong communication skills and ability to engage and interface with Cross- functional stakeholders globally.

• Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and provide strategic and tactical direction to the QA team

• Ability to collaborate with development, understand the technology stack and drive test efficiency by means of appropriate tools and processes

• Manage and Lead team through appraisals, training programs, align team goals with organizational vision, cross collaboration within R&D

• Ensure the implementation of processes and procedures to ensure QA department meets company and department business/quality goals.

• Effective presentation to Executive Leadership Team and product end-users around strategy, goals, plans and achievements on a regular basis

• Good understanding of excellence in Customer experience through seamless product/service integration

• Very strong technical leadership skills coupled with a passion for empowering and driving excellence in teams

• Proven Sr. leadership experience in being leader of leaders - technical and managerial

Responsibilities:

• Must be a results oriented leader and must have worked in enterprise product company

• Must help in transitioning into Lean Agile Journey

• Exposure to healthcare domain is a plus

• Experience in building automation frameworks as well as adopting new testing tools to bring in test efficiency

• Mentor team members to improve technical skills and solve the technical issues

• Co-Ordinate with the product stakeholders to understand the priorities & drive efficiencies in QA process through automation

• Create & Maintain QA Test Plans & Trackers and providing timely reports to the management & the product stakeholders

• Plan and Drive QA initiatives and bring in test efficiency

• Team training, mentoring and career development.

• Makes all hiring/termination decisions

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or Masters degree in computer engineering or computer-science related field

• 15- 20 years of industry experience with 5+ years of experience in senior leadership roles

• 5+ years of experience in transforming the teams towards Agile and SDET journey

• Must have worked in product companies being accountable and owning product delivery

• Must have experience in working in global matrix structure
