Job Responsiblities

Assist engineers with initial design and drawing requirements

Establish drawing set-up procedures applicable to the job for drafting personnel

Conceptualize plans, details and sections to accurately convey construction or fabrication requirements

Check and back-check drawings produced by drafting personnel

Analyze vendor supplied drawings to incorporate the required information in document and co-ordinate with piping/mechanical department.

Manage the design efforts and direct junior designers and CAD drafters for maximizing productivity

Conceptualize and draw wiring diagrams, E&I layouts, Instrument Hook Ups for required information and design details independently with instruction from project engineering


Skills

ASPEN, HYSYS, HTFS, FLARENET and Understanding of codes and standards like API,ASME,BS,ANSI,TEMA


Additional Information

Knowledge of processes involved in Chemical/Petroleum refining/Petrochemicals.

Line sizing and Pump hydraulics

Good command over international standards such as API/ISO/NORSOK/NACE related to process engineering.

Knowledge of standards related to HSE such as EPA, OSHA,NFPA,OISD

Preparation & checking of process equipment & instrument data sheet.

Preparation of process engineering document

Participating in HAZOPs and safety studies
