• The successful candidate will have hands on expertise developing packaging systems and protocols
• In addition, the role includes developing cost-effective solutions, developing secondary packaging systems, establishing contract packaging organizations (CP0s), and qualifying shipping solutions.
• Propose, evaluate, and implement packaging and shipping container systems based upon understanding of customer requirements, plant operation processes, logistics, distribution, warehousing, and regulatory requirements.
• Establish packaging strategy at the commodity level part numbers for new product introductions, cost savings, or other supply chain improvement
• Perform design analysis, computer simulations, and packaging validation testing of packaging and container designs.
• Create and release material and packaging specifications for new products, and changes to existing products.
• This position requires: an understanding of material properties, testing and specifications; the ability to communicate clearly
• Collaborate with cross-functional employees & department managers to solve work-related problems and perform run-the-business activities
• Identify changes in documentation and equipment as part of continuous improvement; initiate changes and follow through to implementation
• Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. This work would include mechanical and/or electrical engineering for the packaging of system components
• Responsible for defined work or projects with moderate to high complexity. Follow an individual work plan and meet day-to-day short-term objectives. Display the ability to resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
• Support multiple work assignments by establishing, maintaining, and working to proper priorities.
• Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers.
• Document and communicate results of technical data generated.
• Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives.
• Share information and promote open dialogue.

Preferred Job Requirements

• B.E / M.E in Mechanical/ automotive / Electrical with 6+ year of industry experience
• General knowledge of materials engineering and testing, kitting, and materials handling
• Knowledge of procedure writing and a general understanding of the USQ Process
• 2+ years experience in design and validation of electronics packaging equipment
• Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
• High level of analytical ability where problems are complex.
• Demonstrate Strong written and oral Communications.
• High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, effective project planning in terms of resources, strategies, cost, and time with ability to meet project timelines.
