Shift Timing: 11 AM to 8 PM

CPW team at CMI Mumbai, is an extension of CPW’s Global Analytics function based in Switzerland. The team here works across the spectrum of data architecture, data stewardship, visualisation, advanced analytics and insights on Business Performance across CPW Global markets.

We are looking to hire a data and analytics senior manager, to lead CPW Mumbai team. This person will be part of the Global Analytics Leadership Team (dotted line to CPW Head of Analytics), and solid line reporting to the leader of CMI Mumbai.

Job Responsibilities
  • Leadership: The role is part of CPW Analytics leadership team working with counterparts across Decision Science, Predictive Analytics, Marketing Effectiveness and Research & Experimentation.
  • Manage & Lead capability build and vision around Data Strategy & Application: , Oversee existing Data Engineering and Data Reporting & Visualisation teams, and support driving the CPW Data Strategy that includes onboarding and managing new datasets, including panel data, 1st party campaign data and clickstream data. Manage existing supplier relationships related to the CPW data asset and identify new suppliers/technologies that can support the long term ambitions of impacting and influencing the Breakfast Cereal category.
  • Advance new capabilities: Partner with Global Decision Sciences lead to grow and develop newer capabilities and skills leveraging analytical methods and new data sources to drive ‘speed to actionable insight’. Ensure that the Decision Science team is empowered with the right data, analytics capability, and tools, to answer key business questions and drive business impact and greater adoption of Analytics throughout the business.
  • Build and foster Capability and Talent: The incumbent will be responsible for overall leadership, talent development, skill advancement, engagement and retention of the talent across the team. Enable the team to express itself, be curious, and have a desire to learn and try new approaches and techniques.
  • Stakeholder Management in a matrix organisation: Build relationships with key CI leaders across Segments, identify new opportunities of partnership, scale best practices and individually contribute to some key segment level priorities
  • Identify and elevate cross segment opportunities: Leverage global scope of role to identify common projects/themes and assist with cross-pollination of best practices and learnings
  • Partner on CMI Mumbai LT: Play a key role on CMI Mumbai leadership team to take the global vision forward! Partner across different teams with CMI Mumbai, and across functions within GenMills India Centre to advance capabilities, collaboration and culture.

  • Quickly understand business stakeholder needs and translate that into how data and analytics can help them make business decisions
  • Successfully manage a global team and partner with stakeholders across CPW
  • Manage analytics end to end: data engineering, ad hoc and productionalized analytics, visualization
  • Balance short term delivery with an openness to explore Data and Tech solutions that keep CPW one step ahead and future facing.
  • Solid strategic thinking coupled with managing teams to deliver on time and with high degree of quality and integrity
  • Can translate a complicated solution into something easy for business teams understand and builds conviction to take action
  • Developed new capabilities in an analytics/tech group
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years in managing teams in the analytics/data science space
  • Prior experience working in Global teams
  • Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics/Econometrics, Data Science or other relevant spaces
  • 2+ years of experience in Marketing and/or Consumer Insights in the Consumer Package Goods space
  • Great communication skills – speaks, reads and writes English fluently
  • Skilled at stakeholder management
