Position Overview

Dutta’s Creations seeks a Director of Advertising and Digital Marketing who will be responsible for managing all of Dutta’s Creations advertising and marketing efforts to support the retail and e-commerce channels and to amplify brand marketing efforts to drive awareness and consideration. This position will also be responsible for testing additional advertising channels, including, but not limited to television, print media, and radio.

Responsibilities

  • Ideate the holistic view of Dutta’s Creations marketing and advertising efforts. Determine the KPIs necessary to understand the success of the overall program and individual channels.
  • Work closely with the team to establish Brand Marketing to ensure that marketing and advertising are in sync with the overall Brand Marketing strategy and to ensure that marketing and advertising efforts amplify our brand marketing efforts.
  • Once approved by the team, drive the overall marketing strategy based on the overall needs of the business. Continually evaluate whether changes need to be made to the strategy.
  • Strategize which marketing channels that will work well for a brand like Dutta’s Creations and manage all of Dutta’s Creations marketing channels to support the retail and e-commerce channels and to amplify brand marketing efforts to drive awareness and consideration. Identify and test additional advertising channels.
  • Given the set marketing and advertising budget, define the optimal mix of marketing and advertising spend that will maximize both new customer growth and overall revenue.
  • Closely monitor channel performance vs. prior periods and plan and respond quickly when performance varies from expectations.
  • Hindsight performance on a weekly/monthly/ quarterly basis, highlighting opportunities or trends for continuous improvement. Share relevant results with the team and discuss the same with him.
  • Measure the incrementality of programs and activities and effectively communicate results and methodology.
  • Manage agencies effectively in order to maximize performance. Communicate budgets and goals, review and approve any plans from the agency and identify when we may need to RFP for new agencies.
  • Complete significant testing across the program from landing pages, to creative, to copy, to channels. Share results with the team and discuss the same with him.
  • Identify and launch new marketing channels to drive overall sales growth. Monitor results of channels and incorporate them into channel mix on a go-forward basis.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years experience in Creative Marketing. Having a strong experience with creative marketing is imperative for your profile to be considered seriously.
  • 10+ years of experience handling brand management, marketing, and advertising in the luxury goods and jewelry industry.
  • Demonstrated success scaling innovative programs in fast-paced, dynamic organizations.
  • Experience managing a high budget and forecasting performance trends.
  • Experience in key digital marketing channels, including paid social, display, search, and affiliates.
  • Record of orchestrating broad media strategies which include digital, audio, print, and OOH.
  • A highly analytical nature and the ability to quantify the expected impact of investment decisions and the impact achieved.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage internal and external partner relationships.
  • Positive and productive interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to clearly articulate plans and ensure the team is aligned.
  • A solutions-oriented mentality with a data-driven approach.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics preferred.
  • A growth mindset: track record of leveraging past learnings, encouraging new ideas, and smart risk-taking in self and others.
