The Manufacturing Quality Engineering Manager oversees work related to product assembly, ensuring cost-effective operations and the delivery of quality machines / projects. Be an escalation point for all matters related to testing and quality assurance and operate as a primary point of contact for the QA team. Lead the team to achieve quality targets for customers and business goals.

• Be a strong leader with experience in implementing and shaping the company’s QA processes and strategies.

• Obtain Zero PPM and ensure that they are consistently meeting customer expectations and delivering a high-quality products / projects/service.

• Champion a program to implement and sustain a continuous improvement culture.

• Review and recommend procedures to establish or improve quality standards, standard repairs, process controls, and inspection methods.

• Review and maintain product assurance policies and procedures, ensuring specifications and requirements are met. • Build and maintain quality standards as well as enforce technical and testing standards, make sure that manufacturing or production processes meet international and national standards.

• Conduct or assist with performance and failure analysis of defective products or materials, identify, recommend, and executes corrective actions.

• Provide quality engineering support for in-progress and final acceptance projects.

• Establish and refine quality sign-off instructions, standards, and documentation. • Look at ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency.

• Lead regular inspection meetings with representatives from relevant departments to establish action plan for improving build quality.

• Collaborate with customers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve problems with delivered machines/projects.

• Responsible for resolving customer complaints and service team observations.

• Responsible to develop suppliers to produce Compnay products as per assembly and testing procedure.

• Responsible for inspection and testing of machines & equipment’s assembled at suppliers as per Company product quality standards.

• Work with purchasing team to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.

• Ensure company’s quality procedures, standards, specifications, and workmanship is established with the supplier.

• Develop the capability of suppliers for process and procedure standardisation as per design & application requirement. • Monitor supplier performance by gathering relevant data and produce statistical reports.

• Establish ISO standard requirement within the plant and at all suppliers as per company procedure.

• Implement audits throughout the supply chain, ensuring quality standards, safety and legal

requirements, and company policies and specifications are met.

• Provide technical and administrative support and guidance to direct and indirect reports.

• Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports.

• Manage, coach and develop a high performing quality operations team that meets agreed objectives & delivers best practice results and continuous improvement.

• Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors.

• Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.

Qualifications & Experience: B.E graduate with 10 – 15 years’ experience in Machine building / Machine tools/ Automotive MNC industry. Exposure to processes like Fabrication / Machining/ assembly/ Testing etc is essential. Should have worked in Supplier process development. Understanding of equipment testing is an added advantage. Knowledge in ISO standards for QMS/EHS/OSHAS (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 45001) & Technical Standards (TS) is desirable. Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing skills. Experience in dealing with customers and suppliers.

Position Interfaces with: Purchase, Production, Production planning, I&C, Service, Sales, Engineering & vendors/ suppliers

Reports: MIS reports preparation like Supplier Inspection, Vendor assessment, analysis report, Process development reports, agreed quality metrics on a monthly basis etc.
