Information Systems Business Systems Analyst
Job Purpose
The Global Services Information Systems (GSIS) Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will be responsible for implementing projects in Salesforce/TWoD (Tavant Warranty on Demand), MTP (MyTrimble Protected), and with the Virtual Warehouse with the long-term vision of Connect and Scale and Digital Transformation. An individual with passion for conceptualizing and creating innovative digital solutions that transform the business will be an ideal fit for this position.
Key Responsibilities
Work very closely with Global Services Enterprise Architect, Spime team, Tavant, Mize developers, and all stakeholders of Global Services (Support, Administration, Repair) and Business Process Owner GS to:
Understand business requirements for systemic changes (enhancements, alignments, projects)
Create functional business requirements, process flow diagrams, and use cases
Works closely with the Salesforce Enterprise Architect to:
Identify the key and critical tickets of every release-cycle
Identify the Salesforce areas and fields to manage internally versus externally through our Vendors and achieve alignment with other SFDC instances
Works in dotted-line with Corporate IS to follow identical processes and to identify opportunities for streamlining processes
Ensures that the requirements are clearly understood by our external vendors (Tavant and M-ize)
Lead workshops to:
Gather, analyze and document functional/technical requirements for new projects, and for current releases covering enhancements to existing solutions
Create/execute unit, integration, and user acceptance test plans, including use cases and test data for current releases
Find the most appropriate methodology for test-driven development to bring our environment to maturity
Assist Salesforce Enterprise Architect to create, manage and perform system testing activities for projects and upgrades
Perform application and process-specific training activities to educate technical and non-technical users of the solutions you configure and support
Works with the Business Analyst of our vendors to oversee their best practices among our vendors to maintain Trimble quality standards and compliance
Skills and BackgroundPreferred:
Minimum 3 of hands-on experience in implementing Salesforce Service cloud and Tavant Warranty On-Demand Solution
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst working with after-sales, repair, support, service administration, processes
Minimum 5 years of experience preparing as-is process documentation, to-be process documentation, and performing detailed gap analysis
Bachelor’s degree in MIS or a relevant technical or business field
Experience in System integration and service-oriented architecture (SOA)
Experience with creating business process models and using them to describe business requirements
Understanding of the software development life cycle and related processes
Ability to work collaboratively and without direct reporting supervision and with external vendors (Tavant, M-ize); must be a team player
Able to learn new technology quickly, become the expert and teach others, in a complex environment
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with both technical and business staff
Excellent written, speaking, and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to interface with highly technical resources, both local and international
Strong independent analysis skills and ability to dig into challenges, identify solutions, and share critical thinking
Must have excellent problem-solving skills and enjoy a good challenge
Ability to travel as needed
Minimum Required Qualification
Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science and Engineering from a tier-1 or tier-2 ranked institute.
Reporting
Individuals selected for this role shall report to a Product Owner or Engineering Manager or Engineering Director or a person designated by the division.
Supervisory responsibilities
None
Measure of Success
Meeting the SLAs related to key and critical tickets of every release-cycle
Implementation of Best Practices inline with Trimble quality standards and compliance
Assessment of problem and risk areas and mitigation.
Quality of work products.
Effective change management.
