As a member of the Global Technology Infrastructure - Middleware team, you’ll play a big part in supporting web infrastructure platforms- Apache , Tomcat, IIS, WebSphere/IHS that hosts multiple web applications and services that enable greater automation, security and usability within the web middleware product space. This also includes providing guidance to our customers, clients, and businesses building web applications hosted on our web components around the globe each and every day. In this role you’ll call on your experience designing tailored solutions to understand the requirements of the customer and provide solutions for advanced technical and business problems and collaborate with multiple teams including engineering, development and operations to contribute to the product strategy. And while you will be part of a tight-knit team of engineers who shares your passion for technology, you’ll also gain access to the best minds in the business-both as part of the JPMorgan Chase & Co. global technology community, and through our partnerships with some of the most important tech firms in the world.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

Bachelor of Science/Computers degree or equivalent experience
. Proficient knowledge in the following key areas:
  • Product Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations)
  • Product Knowledge (Apache, Tomcat, IIS, WebSphere/IIS)
  • Design (compliance, security)
  • Knowledge of one basic programming languages or database management systems (Java, PERL, Python, Ansible)
  • Intermediate understanding of LOB technology drivers and their impact on architecture design
  • Thinks creatively to deliver solutions through continuous improvement
Qualifications
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
  • Bachelor of Science/Computers degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with or delivering platform level technology or service (Apache, Tomcat, IIS, WebSphere/IHS etc.) preferably in large and/or complex environments.
  • Experience with the internals and configuration and security of web and application server products
  • Configuration Management experience
  • Certificate Renewal and Management experience
  • Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages (Python, Ansible)
  • Provide technical expertise throughout the software lifecycle including design, implementation and delivery.
  • Understanding virtualization, APIs
  • Hand-on experience with tools, deployment, monitoring and operations, such as Prometheus, FluentD, Elasticsearch, Grafana, etc
  • Advanced experience working with two or more from the following: web, database, Unix/Linux environments
  • Understanding or have experience with Agile and lean philosophies
  • Experience working across large infrastructure environments and distributed across multiple data centers
  • Experience in end-to-end systems automation and orchestration
  • Experience in Systems and Application monitoring systems and instrumentation
  • Familiar working with Jenkins, BitBucket and other CI/CD tools including the Atlassian suite including JIRA, Confluence.
  • Previous web development with strong interest in moving into Web Infrastructure Engineering.
