Who We Are

Looking For

We’re looking to recruit for the founding team of our early-stage startup. We are a team of about 5 right now and are looking to expand to 15. We need people across product, growth, engineering, content, analytics, ops and design. The way we see everyone’s role at Atom is that everyone has a core competency which will be their primary responsibility, beyond which, each person can choose to do more than just their role. We distribute tasks meritocratically and we will continue to do that as part of our culture.

Interview Process

At Atom, we do this a bit differently. After a technical screening round, we like to work together for a duration of 1 week (part-time). This way we can get to know each other in person and you can understand our vision, culture, everyday collaboration and how we approach problem solving. Making sure that your goals align with ours is absolutely essential. This "trial" helps both sides understand whether this opportunity fits well.

Your Day To Day
  • Chance to work on various tech stacks and having full visibility of the end-to-end development spectrum.
  • End-to-end ownership — For any given project, we have one person who is responsible. While they don’t necessarily have to do all the work themselves, it’s their job to make sure all the work gets done.

If your goal is to learn, and skill-up in the domain of mobile engineering, product or user experience, we strive to provide a high learning curve, a challenging environment, ownership of a large part of the codebase and mentorship to grow fast.
  • Own end to end feature delivery starting from feature analysis to deployment
  • Architect, build and maintain offline first Android apps in Java/Kotlin.
  • Translate designs and wireframes into high quality XML code
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
  • Collaborate with other Android Developers to set best practices for Android development across the organisation.
Desired Skills
  • Prior experience of working at startups/build and launch own products
  • Prefer simple solutions and designs over complex ones, and have a good intuition for what is lasting and scalable
  • Proficient in Swift programming, Cocoa, Xcode and the iOS SDK
  • Working knowledge in iOS Apps architecture and implementation
  • Ability to write model code for functional and nonfunctional requirements and help improve the code quality standard across the team
  • 12+ months of experience in iOS development. Ideally, you’ve had some experience building a mobile app from scratch or contributing to open-source libraries.
  • Working knowledge of Firebase Firestore & cloud functions preferred
