ABOUT UNIOPS:

Unilever Operations (UniOps) is the global technology and operations engine of Unilever offering business services, technology, and enterprise solutions. Purpose of the Role:

As part of UniOps, IT is a critical component underpinning Unilever’s ability to win in the market. It does this by delivering excellent IT services globally so that Unilever can better serve customers. Unilever’s legal function provides support and expertise across a variety of areas that help drive growth while protecting Unilever’s assets and reputation. Technology projects in legal cover all aspects of in-house legal operations, IT service management and project delivery for technologies that cover the full spectrum of in-house legal.

You will be a multi-skilled member of a geographically distributed team with responsibility for key legal applications. You will report to the Lead Manager - Legal & Corporate Functions IT Platform, partnering with business leads, vendor partners and technical teams, developing and delivering IT services, identifying risks to existing services and working to resolve them. You will own the financial lifecycle of projects from idea to development to support and work with multiple specialist suppliers and Unilever technical teams. You should be having strong influencing skills and take lead in projects in legal portfolio and manage the delivery team.

Scope of the Role

The role covers the following areas:

  • Business Partnering/Engagement: Interface with legal business leads and provide a single point of accountability and engagement. Support business analysis; own the functional and process design and end-to-end project management; and take complete ownership for the end-to-end delivery of solutions into the business.

  • Project Management: Manage salesforce application with DocuSign CLM as the backend. Collaborate with Legal Future First team to develop project business case for IT Investment Board (ITIB). Build a close working relationship with Unilever’s Global Program Management Office (GPMO), Finance Business Partners for oversight of program finances. Providing best-in-class scope, timeline and financial management and oversight on the projects and providing stakeholders with appropriate project communication.

  • Technical Innovation - requirement gathering, stakeholder management, risk assessment, project planning and implementation. This also requires extensive coordination with technical and enabling teams such as EA, and Info-sec.

  • Change and release management - responsible for managing & planning the change demand from a technical perspective. Managing production deployments with vendor partners and support teams. Also ensuring compliance to required controls, pro-actively assessing & managing the risks. Cutover Planning & Management for major technical projects and co-ordinate post go-live checks.

  • Security & Compliance - coordination of security baseline standards implementation, reporting compliance & driving actions.

  • Service Ownership and Management - Responsible for onboarding services onto the platform and management of incidents, including development and operations by the relevant support team. Responsible for maintaining and enhancing the live services. Participate in regular service review meetings and communicating to the Lead Platform Manager. Analyze and monitor suppliers’ performance against agreed service levels, publish the results, initiate remedial action Review maintenance plans, housekeeping, health checks, administration, etc.

  • Vendor Management - continuous engagement with vendor teams as part of day-to-day operations, Incident Management, Change Management, and priority incident resolution. Generate value addition from vendor partners and generate savings in cost and effort. Participate in functional and technical design reviews with strategic IT suppliers and/or other 3rd parties when/where appropriate. Hold vendors accountable for quality and timeliness of deliveries through governance mechanisms. Ensure adequate knowledge sharing and retention through documentation.

  • Commercial Management - Work with Service Partners and Vendors to ensure Statements of Work (SOW) are created and submitted in line with Unilever process. Oversee the commercial lifecycle of Legal projects working with a small team of Project / Finance Analysts. Managing the team’s use of 3rd Parties and Contractors.

  • Communication and Reporting - Ongoing strategic engagement with Legal Directors and Team Leaders for future activities and program delivery. Occasional VP level connect on programs and associated activities (service delivery & service excellence) Regular Financial Reporting to show Forecast v’s Actual Financial position for monthly cadence Reporting to Project LT and GPMO.

Essential Skills

  • DocuSign CLM functional expertise.

  • Expertise in DocuSign CLM & Salesforce integration.

  • Contracts4U functional expertise – which constitutes DocuSign CLM with Salesforce front-end Business awareness, understanding the broader context in which IT delivery has an impact on overall business performance.

  • Focus on IT quality and delivery to meet client requirements.

  • Very strong Interpersonal skills and influencing ability; ability to impact and influence customer and stakeholders.

  • Experience of managing multiple projects: Tasks, Risks and Stakeholder management skills.

  • Knowledge of Unilever financial processes.

  • Knowledge of Unilever’s Secure by Design

  • Experience in procurement and technology selection

  • IT background, especially SaaS and PaaS

  • Solution Architecture

  • Hands on experience in Agile, ideally as a project manager

Desirable Skills

  • PMP and/or ITIL certification

  • Legal background preferred
