Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Purchasing Assistant at Globe tanners in Kanpur. The Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials and supplies, working with suppliers to negotiate pricing and contracts to ensure timely delivery and quality products, and maintaining accurate records of purchases and inventory.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement
  • Strong negotiation skills, ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers
  • Excellent communication and organization skills, ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience working with procurement software
  • Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in the leather industry is a plus
