The ISG Research Analyst/Senior Research Analyst/Lead Analyst will work on Data Products conducted for IT Service Providers and Enterprise Clients. The candidate is expected to own Data Process on services and technology topics, go deeper in developing expertise in that area. The candidate is expected to work on creating research reports providing vendor comparison, service provider profiles, competitive landscape and market trends. The analyst will also support ad-hoc inquiries, research projects, and tracks all inquiries.
The successful candidate will have significant ITO or BPO research experience, knowledge about outsourcing industry, strong English writing and speaking skills, extensive experience in performing data manipulation, mugging, detailed analysis, model development, secondary research, and exceptional organizational skills. Knowledge on quantitative research, familiarity with data analysis and statistical analysis techniques and exposure to financial analysis is a must.
Responsibilities:

• Responsible for creating the custom research reports end-to-end – to run an entire research cycle
• Analyzing IT and BPO services capabilities of various providers large, mid-size and niche where very limited information is readily available
• To read and develop expertise specific to the designated area of technology or service line
• Develop and hone relationship with service providers/ vendors/ internal ISG advisors
• Work on engagements focused on service providers that include Service provider profile preparation, enterprise deep-dive as a potential target customer, researching technology and outsourcing trends etc.
• Data analysis and charting using MS Excel, and Power BI, Excel Macros (VBA) for building dashboards
• Deliver on ad-hoc requests related to market, enterprise ICT strategy and provider relationship, and competitive intelligence
• Write Blogs and Point of Views on identified research topics
• Work with diverse set of analysts and consultants, a team player who can contribute to the team over his/her individual aspirations
• Ability and desire to meet the deadlines and deliver results with minimum supervision
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects with aggressive deadlines.

Skills Required: *

• 3-5 years of experience in market research, pre-sales, sales-enablement, corporate strategy preferably in the area of outsourcing, captives, BPO, Technology and IT.
• Strong understanding of ICT Services and technology – Digital including Cloud, IoT, Edge Compute, AI/ML, NLP, Blockchain.
• Experience working on databases like S&P Capital IQ, Hoovers, Factiva etc.
• The ability to extract meaningful information and formulate a point of view based on interviewing internal and external experts, analyzing available data and filling gaps with secondary research
• Ability to analyze quantitative and/or qualitative data to identify relevant findings.
• Exceptional analytical, writing, communication, and presentation skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and power-point skills
• Must be highly skilled in time management to facilitate involvement in multiple projects.
• Must have excellent teamwork skills as well as be self-directed. Must have the ability to work independently and manage communications with senior executives including Board level.
• The ability to work a flexible schedule, collaborating with stakeholders across ANZ, Europe, and US regions. Might occasionally require long work hours.

Education level and experience:

• Graduation: Engineering/Statistics/Econometrics from reputable institution preferably with MBA (Finance, Operation, Supply-chain, Systems, Data Analytics).
• Overall good academic track-record
• Minimum 3+ years of Experience in Sales-Enablement, Corporate Strategy, Bid Management, Market Research, Opportunity Qualification, Financial and Risk Modelling type of roles
• Proficient with Power BI (Power Query, Power Pivot, Analysis, Visualization), MS Excel (basic, functions, macros - VBA, Power Pivots, logical and functional formulas), and PPT Storyboarding; R and Python expertise will be treated as add-on
