We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Risk Steward delivery Lead, ASP

Location(Country / City ):Bangalore

The Opportunity:

The role will be responsible for the provisioning of subject matter expertise to Operational Resilience Risk Assurance teams on Third Party risks globally, including regional and local management of Assurance activities for APAC for all Resilience risk types. This role will be based in Global Service Centre located at Bangalore and form part of a broader globally dispersed Operational Resilience Risk(ORR) Assurance team.

What you’ll do:

  • Providing subject matter expertise to Controls Assurance for Resilience Risk (Information Technology and Cyber Security, Transaction Processing, Third Party, Business Interruption and Incident Reporting/ Business Continuity, Building Unavailability, Workplace Safety, Security of People and Assets, Change Oversight) risks throughout reviews via development of test scripts, ongoing support, challenge of review terms of reference and reports and, at times, execute reviews.
  • Develop and manage stakeholder relationships with ORR and Business stakeholders in Asia Pacific
  • Identify thematic reviews based on internal and external observations, trends emerging, or stakeholder requests for Asia Pacific and coordinate with Thematic Assurance in delivery of those reviews
  • Support consistent and insightful reporting and escalation of issues identified through ORR Second Line of Defense opinion papers for APAC
  • Direct the development of ongoing training and induction programs to ensure that the teams are appropriately skilled and technical knowledge of appropriate regulation, responsibilities, and testing tools and techniques is up to date
  • Deliver key messages and strategic updates as appropriate for APAC and Third Party risks
  • Drive effective teamwork, engagement and collaboration across ORR teams

Qualifications

    • Academics: Undergraduate College Degree in Any Discipline is required. A postgraduate degree or equivalent Diploma in Business, Management, Finance, Information Technology or related fields will be preferred. Professional qualifications in Audit and Accounting will be preferred. Certifications in Risk Management, Assurance and Audit and related disciplines will be preferred
    • Relevant experience of 13+ years in banking, financial services ( or related consulting firms) , with a minimum of 5 years in risk management , assurance and audit activities.
    • Deep understanding of Risk Management Framework and Non-Financial Risks, including Resilience Risks ( defined above) , particularly a sound understanding / knowledge of technology and cyber risks
    • Experience in developing & deploying automated testing and data analytics techniques is essential
    • Experience of process mapping and delivering professional reports and presentations gained within a financial services organisations or audit/consulting practice
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and to engage with stakeholders
    • Experience utilizing assurance automation and analytics tools preferred
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office
