Responsibilities
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
  • Enhance data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems.
  • Analyze and translate business needs into long-term solution data models.
  • Evaluate existing data systems.
  • Work with the development team to create conceptual, logical and physical data models and data flows.
  • Develop best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system.
  • Review modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility.
  • Update and optimize local and metadata models.
  • Evaluate implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts and technical leaders from ERM’s other Business Units, across time zones, and as part of diverse teams that may be established for revenue delivery on project to project basis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or related program.
  • 8 - 10 years of overall experience IT experience
  • Knowledge of Azure IOT framework and Data Streaming. [optional]
  • 3 - 4 years of hands-on experience of relational and non-relational databases modelling
  • Expert knowledge of metadata management and related tools.
  • Proficiency in manipulating and combining large datasets from multiple sources.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB or CosmosDB.
  • Experience visualizing/presenting data using BI tools including one or more of the following: PowerBI, Tableau, Plotly, etc.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
