The Business Intelligence (BI) Manager delivers Business Intelligence (BI) capabilities, which play a key role in strategic planning and allow the organisation to gather, store, access and analyse business data to inform decision-making. The Business Intelligence Manager focusses upon the supervision of a team, who execute BI programmes across markets, in response to business needs. They perform detailed data analysis, implement dashboards and ensure decision support systems are in place that best serve the business in their decision making, whilst adhering to Standards, policy and legislation.Typically reports to the Senior Business Intelligence Manager.
Job Responsibility
  • Executes, advises and manages processes and activities related to development of metrics to measure various characteristics of the business and evaluate potential and actual operational changes;
  • Drives and maintains the delivery of long-term cross-functional Business Intelligence strategy including capacity management, report lifecycle management and priority management;
  • Has full people supervisory responsibility for a team of Business Intelligence professionals and contributes to delivering the BI vision and producing high quality and insightful management information;
  • Contributes to team deliverables developing, analysing and modelling large quantities of operational, management and accounting data to quantify the competitive performance of business segments;
  • Builds strong relations and works closely with Finance, BI and Technology groups, BI vendors, Systems Developers and contractors to drive cohesive solutions across all BI areas and to achieve effective use of BI resources;
  • Provides analysis and delivers relevant data and information to assist strategic planning and review;
  • Delivers assigned tasks for managing effective workflow activities to ensure standard reports and management dashboards are created and published within established service levels and in compliance with legal requirements;
  • Uses best practice knowledge in business priorities which are appropriately matched to BI capabilities, stimulating the best and most creative use of Vodafone�s available data and information across the BI estate to deliver against demand;
  • Supports directing the approval and enforcement of data standards/policies and processes, including data standards, quality goals, maintenance processes and exceptions requests;
  • Understands centralising and servicing reporting needs of the business, including report design, development, publishing, maintenance and special report requests.
