THE ROLE


KinderPass is looking for a passionate, innovative, driven and efficient Senior QA engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a versatile problem solver with full-stack engineering abilities and great communication skills. You will help us define our quality assurance strategy, build our testing process, and create a culture of quality.


This role is can be remote in India, but our development team is in Kochi, India.


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Be the voice of quality to ensure a world-class user experience for childcare admins, educators, and parents
  • Manage, drive, and own the entire Quality Assurance testing process
  • Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test procedures
  • Reproduce, diagnose, and document software defects and participate in early product development activities to prevent defects
  • Verify new feature requirements are met in each release while also ensuring existing functionality is maintained without regressions
  • Test functional and nonfunctional requirements in support of new and existing feature development
  • Ask questions, collaborate with team members, develop and execute strategies to release products efficiently with confidence in their quality
  • Enhance our culture of excellence in test and quality, while also continually learning and applying best practices

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


  • BA/BS degree required
  • 4+ years of experience in manual and automated testing
  • Ability to develop, modify and execute software test plans, test cases, while also analyzing test results to ensure correct functionality and recommend corrective action
  • A sense of ownership of our product and drive to improve its quality
  • A collaborative spirit working with diverse stakeholders across functions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated success leading testing and project delivery
  • Passion for technology, education and/or product growth

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Master’s degree in business, engineering or a related field
  • Prior experience in edtech or a startup a plus
  • Prior experience with software focused on B2C and B2B
