Role: Senior Software Engineer

The Impact: S&P Global is seeking a talented and energetic Senior Software .Net Engineer to join our global team of software engineers, data architects, and analytics experts. The candidate will report to the Principal Software Engineer. The candidate should be experienced with applying highly scalable, event-based architectural approaches to address high-volume compute systems.

What’s in it for you:
The candidate should possess expert knowledge of the following technologies: .Net Core, .Net Framework, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs with .NET and C#, Entity Framework, AngularJS, JavaScript, and backend database technologies. The candidate must have passion and expertise in moving from siloed, proprietary, and monolithic systems to open, flexible, and de-coupled services. The candidate should be self-directed, vocal and comfortable supporting diverse teams, systems, and products.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing solutions using the .Net technology stack and Angular framework.

Serve as mentor and coach to teammates and provide technical leadership to the team.

Work with the project team and internal customers to establish and understand requirements.

What We’re Looking For:
Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field.

Five (5) or more years of responsibility in technical roles.

Passion for software development – enthusiasm for new technologies and their potential to make an impact.

A bias to action – a willingness to “jump right in” with an emphasis on producing results.

Highly collaborative – an affinity for solving complex problems through dialog with team members.

Curiosity – always seeking the “why’s” and “how’s” in the interest of continuous learning and the mastery of a craft.

Comfortable with ambiguity – can begin to explore and solve complex problems even when the problem and solution are not always well-defined.
