Roles and Responsibilities

Experience:At least 10 years of Experience in the field of agribusiness, Food processing sector, organic farming operations, certification processes, procurement and marketing

Qualifications:PG degree in Agribusiness or Agricultural sciences or MBA and UG in Agricultural sciences

Key responsibilities:The Zonal Coordinators shall be a key employee of Kamatan who shall be responsible for the following
a. To organize farmers and FPOs for various types of agricultural production including organic and NPF agricultural food production.
b. To engage and train farmers and FPOs on standard agronomic practices, organic food and N&PF food production and seed production
c. To plan at micro and block level for the production of agricultural commodities and allocate blocks to farmers and FPOs
d. To appoint block coordinators on need basis for implementing and monitoring the production activities in the zone.
e. To engage with farmers and enable them to obtain certification as per process
f. To monitor production and quality processes and be responsible for the quality and quantity of the production targets in chosen crops.
g. Responsible for all legal, licensing and liaison responsibilities in the zone
h. To coordinate with local NGOs, Government and other stakeholders for achievement of monthly/quarterly business targets.
i. Responsible for planning, implementing and closing of audit requirements in the zone.
j. Responsible for procurement of produce, storage and logistics to the identified destination in coordination with Business team at Corporate HQ.
k. Maintenance of records, MIS and requisite documentation and admin related activities as per requirements
l. Surveys and field visits in coordination with national level business teams
m. Any other tasks assigned to by the management

The ZC shall report to Chief Business Officer (CBO) and shall be responsible for all business deliverables. The ZC shall be supported by local teams hired on need basis with approval of management.
