Solutions Architect - Connectivity

Job Purpose

To provide technical solution & consulting support to Carrier Services Connectivity & OLO sales teams for integrated solutions using various technology platforms on Fixed line Data Connectivity, (Domestic & Global). Achieve strategic gains across the organisation by working across stake holders in Vodafone Group, Circle & Corporate functions & Carrier ecosystem

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

(1) KEY ACCOUNTABILITES:

Solution Selling

  • Help carrier sales team achieve revenue and new order booking targets.
  • Promoting competitive & cost effective best-fit solution permissible under regulation
  • Understand customer needs using consultative approach, use solutions to differentiate services and influence buying decisions
  • Identify avenues to upsell and cross sell products and services under the Fixed Line Data platform
  • Understand customer pain points and design potential solutions using wide product range and propose end to end integrated solutions comprising of flavours of fixed line data connectivity, bundled with Infrastructure, regulatory guidance, etc.

Product Differentiation

  • Achieve differentiation in the market by delivering value to the customer by way of modifying the available products to fit and exceed the customer requirements.
  • Providing guidance to the Product/ Technology team in terms of new product development based on the customer/ market requirements.

People & Processes

  • Collaborate and engage with key stake holders viz. peers, Sales managers, Technology Planning, Operations, product, engineering, Project management, Service Assurance, NoC, OEMs, partners, etc. and other delivery teams for ensuring compliance to customer requirements
  • Ownership of the end to end solution design and assure that it fits for the purpose, deliverable and supportable. Ensure open and transparent agreement with cross function teams. Replicate Best practices, ensure opportunity governance is adhered to. Drive and deliver high performing customer and partner engagements for high CSAT/ NPS
  • Adherence to agreed upon S&P to ensure standardization in the way Vodafone Idea conducts the Carrier Business.

  • 7-12 years in Solution Building
  • Experience in Pre-Sales/ Business Solutions



Must have technical / professional qualifications

  • Essential : BE/ BTech in Electronics / Electronics Telecom/ equivalent
  • Excellent business credentials
  • Excellent technical knowledge of networking and networking products, TDM/ IP/ Optics/ DWDM based fixed line voice/ data technologies
  • Relevant pre sales/ business/technical experience in offering & designing high bandwidth & complex integrated solutions on Layer 0/ Layer 1 circuits, MPLS VPN, CDNs, IPLC, IPT, Data Centre Interconnects, etc.
  • Working understanding of Global Submarine cable systems, various international connectivity routes map, CLS architecture, CNH, IPVPN, GSIP, MSP network, etc.
  • Excellent inter-personal & business communication skills
  • Hands-on Experience on managing Carrier/ enterprise networks/ IT environment
  • Industry accepted Technology/ Product certifications like CCNA/CCNP/JCNA/ OC-A/ MEF CECP etc.
