This role is for an experienced data analyst with over 3 years of experience in organizations processing a lot of data from various sources and of different structures.

You will be part of the Unified Communication Services team, which provides Telecom Expense Management and Mobile Voice solutions to all Nokia users. In your role, you will be expected to interact daily with IT Service Owners and Solution Designers and TEM Operations and Financial teams, to extract and interpret data to derive valuable insights to support multiple business units and functions. You will also individually develop and implement analytics solutions and track key performance metrics to improve business performance. You will be in charge of developing data models and provide input to reporting responsible. At the same time, you will collaborate with key stakeholders globally, regionally and locally, in order to ensure the analysis you provide can be applied and executed. In order to be effective in your role, you should posses strong technological and analytical as well as communication skills, be swift with building data models, collecting and interpreting data, analysing results and reporting them back to the relevant members of the business. You should be able to identify patterns and trends in data sets as well as defining new data collection and analysis processes. You are well versed in building machine learning solutions, allowing to predict future spend based on the data you have.

Job Responsibilities & Competencies

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Be the main data analyst and single point of contact to address all aspects of data governance needs for the Telecom Expense Management in Nokia IT
  • Work with stakeholders to identify reporting needs, metrics and systems. The main stakeholders will be in IT service, finance and procurement.
  • Support the modeling and creation of datasets using Python and/or SQL to be then used for self-service dashboard reports. Have deep knowledge of all the datasets inside the data lake to be able to provide guidance to other stakeholders.
  • Support the effective and efficient governance through developing and fostering standards, processes and visualization/analytics best practices
  • Work with reporting responsible to deliver necessary data and present it in tools as PowerBI and/or Tableau
  • Utilize tools such as Excel, Python, SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, etc. to automate repetitive analytics tasks and to deliver insights by blending multiple data sources together
  • Leverage creative solutions, analytics and visualization/reporting techniques to enhance knowledge and drive actionable insights that deliver Return On Investment (ROI). This could include use of variance analysis, dashboards/reporting, sales analytics and regression
  • Streamline data preparation and processes for maximum automation and efficiency whilst supporting environment migrations where required
  • Leverage machine learning solutions to build models to predict future spend in telecom area, based on the historical data, trends and changes in contracts
  • Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, computer science or equivalent related field
  • 3+ years of experience being independent data analyst, while working for organizations processing a lot of data from various sources and of different structures
  • 3+ years of experience of data preparation using Python and SQL
  • 2+ years of experience in developing machine learning models from scratch and successfully deploying them
  • 3+ years of experience in Tableau and/or PowerBI
  • Posses strong and practical knowledge of Python and SQL – proven by recent projects
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and database software
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Very good presentation skills and ability to create crisp and concise slides
  • Eager and capable to work in a global multi-cultural team and to develop him/herself
