There are more than 500 million smallholder farms globally. 2.5 billion people depend on Smallholder Communities for their food and livelihoods. Smallholder regions are characterized by low living standards, high rates of illiteracy and low agricultural productivity. Yara’s mission is "Responsibly Feed the World and Protect the Planet". Key to achieving this is enabling thriving Smallholder Communities. At Yara, the Smallholders Digital Team is part of the Crop and Digital Solutions Unit.

About Crop and Digital Solutions

Yara aims to be the crop nutrition company for the future and is leading the development of sustainable agriculture and digital tools to contribute to solving global agricultural challenges. We have a worldwide presence with sales teams in ~150 countries and around 17,000 employees. Yara Farming Solutions, will lead the transformation towards more sustainable and efficient food production, by innovating our offerings and the way we work. Crop and Digital Solutions is responsible developing and scaling new “on-farm” digital and integrated tools and solutions for an efficient and transparent food system.

Responsibilities

• Managing and leading an internal development/design/data resource centre of excellence. Mobilizing and deploying teams within India to support global cross-discipline digital products/services teams.
• Drive a strategy, vision and structure within the ITC that develops the hub into a global centre of excellence for deployment of engineering/design/data teams and people.
• Work closely with global teams across multiple business lines within Yara and located in multiple countries (Germany, Brazil, USA, Thailand, China and Singapore).
• Develop and drive a centre of excellence culture and learning hub mindset. Developing the hub as a talent contributor to the market and a leader in development of outsourcing / engineering best practices.
• Design/development and oversight of best-practice deployment support structures within the hub to ensure continuous development and innovation of the hub internal service model.
• Responsible company director for the hub with accountability for the hub budget, team deployment and support

Profile

• Experience in leading a global digital outsourcing/consulting organizations of 100+ people and supporting the development of digital products, particularly in organizations that are changing, transforming and exploring.
• Understanding of best practice agile development of digital products. Setting and implementing new ways of working.
• Prior experience in managing deployment of teams across engineering, design, data, agile, pmo.
