Yara Farming Solutions, will lead the transformation towards more sustainable and efficient food production, by innovating our offerings and the way we work. Crop and Digital Solutions is responsible developing and scaling new “on-farm” digital and integrated tools and solutions for an efficient and transparent food system.

Responsibilities

The Manager, DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure will lead a global team of Engineers and Architects in managing Yara’s Cloud Native Infrastructure and Developer Enablement tooling.
This is a key role that create and runs the core platforms and infrastructure that underpin our global digital solutions. A strong digital technology foundation is essential to allow Yara to achieve it’s mission. This role requires understanding of technology and processes for managing data and the ability to interface with senior and executive leaders within the data organization and across the company. This is a pivotal role to build out and transform how Yara handles its core technology domains.

• Build and manage a high performance, highly scalable cloud native platform across Yara

  • Manage the cloud native platforms and related technology and achieve the agreed service levels

  • Manage the different engineering teams ( Kubernetes, Network, Cloud, DevOps)

  • Manage the software deployment pipelines (CI/CD)

  • Manage the Observability Infrastructure

  • Support the different product teams in their infrastructure needs and help them build solutions that are reliable and maintainable

  • Introduce Site Reliability Engineering as a practice

• Work closely with the different product leads, senior engineering leaders, corporate IT Security team, Enterprise Architecture, Yara’s Cloud Centre of Excellence and Developer Enablement team to deliver a world class digital infrastructure platform

• Define and manage fitting IT Service Management processes for a digital product environment ( Incident, Problem, Change, Release management…)

• Ensure adherence to SLAs and report on service performance

• Ensure compliance with global data privacy regulations and security regulations

Profile

• Proven experience leading as a senior leader in DevOps, Cloud Native Infrastructure, Software Pipelines and Software Engineering

• You have experience and thorough understanding of cloud native infrastructure(AWS/Azure), Infrastructure as Code(Terraform) CI/CD, DevOps and IT Service Management (ITIL)

• You have experience in container technologies(Docker) and orchstration(Kubernetes)

• Ideally you have experience in software engineering and a good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle

• Ability to manage complex relationships in a matrix environment and strong stakeholder management skills

• Willingness to travel internationally when required

The position is ideally situated in our India Tech Centre (Bangalore), but we can consider other locations for the right candidate.
