What is the job like?

This is an individual contributor role focused on team architecture/product/solutions and are a technical leader on your team. You may influence other teams’ architecture for a particular project. You understand a broad range of design approaches, assist with coding/story estimates, and design (both HLD & LLD), develop, test, and deploy software. You know how to divide the work so that multiple engineers can work in parallel and reassemble into a cohesive launch. You actively review code, provide constructive direction, identify, and resolve root causes. You own the performance of the software your team develops. You understand the business impact of your systems and how good judgment when making technical trade-offs between your team’s short-term business or operational needs and long-term technology needs. You drive best practices, automate tests and manual operational tasks. You write code that an engineer unfamiliar with the system can understand. You are efficient with resource usage (e.g., system hardware, database, memory/CPU, etc.).

Key Responsibilities :

• 6+ years of professional software development experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate highly complex and ambiguous situations.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision and successfully resolve ambiguity.
• Willingness to learn, be open minded to new ideas and different opinions yet knowing when to stop, analyse, and reach a decision.
• Well-rounded engineering skills: full-stack development experience - web + services - If you’ve built something in your spare time send us the link.
• Great communication skills - ability to think creatively and adapt the message to the audience. Can provide information to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike and guide them to confidently informed decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
