The BusinessA large multinational supplier of apparels is seeking an experienced Business Head to develop a P&L business out of Delhi, India. They are seeking someone with a sales/marketing/business development background who has a strong track record of sales performance and a network of buyer contacts. Sourcing and merchandising of orders will be from India and Bangladesh mainly.The role will suit someone who is keen to build an entrepreneurial role for themselves. Although the preferred location for the role is India, for the right candidate the business is open to setting up a new office elsewhere.Business Head - The Role
  • Overall P&L responsibility of the unit
  • Lead the Sales and Business Development efforts of the unit, selling into US, Europe and to Indian retailers (TATA, Arvind, Reliance, Aditya Birla Group etc)
  • Overall management of functions - Sales, Sourcing, Merchandising etc
  • Oversee production management to ensure timely deliveries
  • Oversee quality to ensure negligible rejections
  • Ensure factory meets the compliance as per technical and compliance requirements of the buyer
  • Ensure compliance with local laws
RequirementsBusiness Head - The Person
  • Proven track record in Sales and Business Development
  • Confident to manage P&L
  • Prior experience in running a business with a supplier/buying agency
  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good reporting skills
Package: In addition to a competitive salary, there will be provision for incentive for P&L performance
