Title: Mobiliser-Rural Development

Qualifications: Bachelor’s (Preferred)

Work Location: Shimoga, Karnataka, India

Required: Two-Wheeler with Valid License

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Able to communicate with stakeholders like Panchayat level and rural youth effectively and build relationships
  • Candidates should know the local language, culture, social structure, and geography of the district.
  • Basic knowledge about the DDU-GKY (Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana) programme
  • Willingness to travel to remote locations
  • Ability to work under pressure and disciplined
  • Knowledge of tools and techniques of community mobilization
  • Knowledge of Govt. skill development project specially DDU-GKY (Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana)
  • Good and effective communication in Kannada, English

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Mobilize candidates from the rural areas to enroll qualified youths for the program.
  • Build a relationship with key stakeholders and explain the key features of the DDU-GKY Programme at the district, GP and village levels.
  • Articulate future benefits of the training to the rural youth and their families.
  • Use IT tools like Kaushal Panjee, MSOffice.
  • Readiness-Foresee the candidates’ requirements as per the category and mobilize candidates for upcoming batches.
  • Attending Gram Panchayath meetings and ZP office meetings for mobilization of candidates for the program, and source candidates through different channels.
  • Follow the complete process of collecting the documents, checking for edibility as per DDU-GKY Policy & submitting the same at the training Centre.
  • Ensure that mobilized students attend the training program as per the date communicated by DDU-GKY.
  • Prepare an action plan and submit weekly reports to the State office.
  • Ensure that participants are regular in the course and discipline, in case of drop out need to follow up with the candidate for the same.
  • Organize market campaign in the rural areas for Publicity.
  • Attend job fairs for collecting candidate’s data
  • Tracking of candidates during and after training.
  • Any other tasks assigned by higher management
  • Support team in Mobilization, Placement, MIS, Counselling of Students etc
