Job Title – Principal - Systems Analysis

The Purpose of This Role

As a Principal System Analyst you are responsible to play a dual role of Scrum master cum system Analyst on the Employer Digital applications. You will directly manage a team of resources that address business needs and opportunities with technical solutions driven by the market. As a System Analyst, you will focus on system analysis, working directly with both technical and business stakeholders to translate a vision and designs into sustainable business solutions. You will be responsible for the system design of complex software applications, ensuring they are built with quality, consistency to our standards, performance and responsive to the device accessing the application.

This Principal System Analyst will be expected to be a part of the Employer Digital team in India and would be responsible for working on the Employer Digital application that are used by Fidelity’s workplace customers. As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible to ensure the team lives agile values and principles. You will need to ensure good relationship between the team and other stake holders. You are also responsible for managing/mentoring a team of 5 to 6 members. As a System Analyst you will work closely with the product owners, architects and other developers to design, build, test and deliver the features that make up Fidelity’s internet experience.

The Digital Platforms development team is part of the Workplace Investing (WI) Technology group. Our team is responsible for new and enhanced design and development of application areas across WI. Our primary focus is Employer Digital via the web and mobile channels.

The Expertise we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or any other discipline
• Prior experience in financial domain is an added advantage
• Certification in scrum master is an added advantage
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• ~9 to 11 years of experience in web technology role

Responsibilities of the role includes

• Play the role of the scrum master cum System Analyst for the Employer Digital team in India
• Manage the technology relationship within the organization
• Assuming point person responsibilities for development of web-based user interface applications.
• Consult with business and various technology partners to develop solutions and overall strategies that address difficult and complex organization needs and opportunities.
• Foster communication and support management to monitor manage and report project status.
• Exercise good judgment while resolving issues and escalating risk to the next level of management.
• Contribute and motivate team towards vitality and innovations on business ideas.
• Motivate and drive senior and junior team members towards successful delivery of product releases.
• Provide technical help and team leadership in all tiers of the application, with a major focus on the distributed technologies.
• Assist in ramping up team, identifying tasks, estimating and planning work effort, tracking milestone completion, testing and all other project life cycle milestones.
• Responsible for systems analysis of business requirements for medium/large-scale web development projects spanning multiple Fidelity systems groups.
• The analyst will also make sure systems requirements map to test cases and test execution.
• To work collaboratively with product owners, business stake holders and other teams towards successful and quality delivery.
