The Region Business Management Associate – Marsh McLennan IMEA will be responsible for coordinating and providing project support to regional business initiatives as well as the coordination of the region business governance and operations for the IMEA Office of the CEO. It will report to the Strategic Initiatives Leader (Chief of Staff) for Marsh McLennan IMEA, and will be a member of the IMEA region development organization.

Core Responsibilities

Region Business Management & Office of the CEO Coordination

  • Maintains the week-to-week view of region and CEO meetings, partnering with functional partners and business leaders to effectively plan and execute the calendar, ensuring materials are prepared and distributed in advance, with the instruction from Strategic Initiatives Leader. This may include:
    • Creating draft agendas for the standard region leadership team meetings / forums / events
    • Preparing materials for client meetings and external speaking engagements, conducting research and providing internal briefs on a variety of topics
    • Liaising with global and regional stakeholders on global and regional projects and programs
    • Preparing agendas for senior leadership visits across the region
  • Supports effective management and improvement of Microsoft Teams shared-sites for IMEA Executive Committee Team.
  • Preparing standardized reporting across a variety of key performance indicators for the business
  • Review confidential materials and agendas to ensure accuracy and alignment.
  • Initiative Management Support
  • Assists with aspects of region business initiatives, including developing project plans, creating deadlines, assigning tasks/responsibilities, monitoring and evaluating the progress of the initiatives, and developing reports that assess or quantify project results.
  • Responsible for monitoring the lifecycle process and making recommendations on how to implement changes or process improvements.
  • Provides experienced administration to project team and assists the work of team members, organizing a myriad of complex tasks
  • Effectively communicates to both team members and senior leadership regionally and globally, serving as a primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
  • Develops business cases, research reports, and presentations for internal purposes to define and advance initiative strategies and objectives.
  • Works with external and internal data and research to support decision making and initiative scope and direction.
  • Ensures project deliverables meet required quality standards.

Partnership Management

  • For specific and designated organizational partnerships, this role will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating joint initiatives or projects with external partners. This may involve developing project plans, assigning responsibilities, taking on administration and operations tasks, and monitoring progress, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among all parties involved.

Knowledge and Skills

  • The ideal candidate for this full-time role:
    • In their prior professional experience (at least five years) has demonstrated initiative, desire for personal and professional growth, challenging themselves, and ability to self-manage with limited oversight
    • Strong communication ability, specifically English writing and speaking. Experience working with regional multi-national company a plus.
    • has the ability to independently manage themselves and work with senior individuals to manage against project plans, moving across projects flexibly
    • Comfortable working with Managers who will not located in the same office or country, able to work in a hybrid manner from home and office
    • should have strong experience with business applications and technology, including MS Office Suite (experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word, etc) as well as central data systems (pulling and analysing data sets from central systems) able to independently structure and execute analyses in these applications with minimal guidance or oversight
    • strong project management and administration capabilities able to manage multiple projects of moderate complexity and across functions/topic areas
    • enjoys working in a team and fast-paced, highly collaborative, relationship-oriented environment
    • combines strong quantitative, analytical skills with an understanding of design/creativity in presentation of data and analysis. Able to create charts, powerpoint presentations for senior stakeholders with limited oversight
