The Purpose of This Role

As Software Developer in this organization, you will be working closely with members of Fidelity’s Corporate Audit, business, risk, and IT functions to find opportunities where automation can be applied to current Controls Validation procedures. You will participate in all phases of an application development lifecycle – from framing the business question/hypothesis, identifying the appropriate automation method, sourcing the relevant data, performing sophisticated analytics, code agreed solutions and reporting on the results.

• Perform database queries to analyze and validate data
• Present data in easy to understand and meaningful way
• Perform data analysis to support changes to reports and/or processes
• Proactively analyze and seek problems and issues associated with the application and propose appropriate solutions
• Detailed understanding of the process and the products supported
• Work with management to prioritize business needs
• Assess the criticality of the issues and call out and/or communicate to the management as appropriate for timely resolution

Technical / Behavioral

• You can translate business language into step-by-step procedures
• You can automate procedures in JAVA with importance of reusable code
• You have an ability to produce Angular websites and are proficient in associated technologies
• You have working experience with any Relational databases and are adept in PL/SQL
• You have significant analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make independent assessments
• You have good interpersonal and communication skills
• You have keen eye for detail, and are collaborative with ability to multi-task and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

The Skills that are Good to Have for this role

• Adept with Cloud environments, especially AWS and Azure
• Good understanding of CICD pipelines and containerizing application
• Exposure in Audit, Risk, or Security functions
• Experience developing interactive dashboards, tying data to backend logic to produce meaningful results

The Expertise We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering)
• 4-7 years of relevant experience in Data Analytics.
• Knowledge of retail and institutional businesses in financial domain, is desired
