PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Telecom is one of SAP’s global strategic Industries. SAP’s mission is to enable Telecoms become leaders in the digital economy and be best run integrated and customer centric enterprises. To do this, SAP delivers a unique combination of platform, cloud, innovative industry solutions and transformation expertise to help Telecoms grow revenues, improve cash flow & increase margins.

To achieve our strategic intent in Telecom, we are building a Telecom Services Expert Team for which we have an open position for a Business Process Consultant -Telecom Convergent Charging with a deep and proven experience in architecting and delivering successful E2E Customer Centric projects in Telecom.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • Possess in depth knowledge in the Telecom domain.
  • Good knowledge on different elements in the telecom industry i.e. Network, Mediation Zone etc.
  • Proficient with Convergent Charging tools i.e. core tool, cat tool, Bart tool and IEC.
  • Should possess good knowledge in the Service Provider Master data, Customer Master Data
  • Should have experience in working with Charge plans, charges, and refill plans, refill logic, translation tables, pricing macros etc.
  • Good understanding of the Offer to Cash Scenario i.e. integration with SAP CRM, Provisioning interfaces, external billing & financial systems.
  • Possess decent understanding of Java API’s and SOAP Web services.
  • Hands on in designing the Rating Process, Charging Process, Refilling and Rerating, Session Rating.
  • Knowledge on handling of Prepaid and Postpaid Accounts.
  • Have knowledge and hands-on expérience with SAP’s solutions including the ability to develop solution frameworks including solution process landscapes and define integration touch-points.
  • Orchestrate and deliver complex E2E solution in Telecom projects including integration of SOM, billing and charging systems, as well as inventory systems and order orchestration systems
  • He should have experience is gathering requirements from Customers, configuring the system and preparing functional specifications and project relevant documentation.
  • He should be well versed with project implementation methodologies and solution manager

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Fundamental know-how of business process framework architecture, legacy system migration and application integration.
  • Strong analytical skills, result-oriented and effectiveness in problem solving.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Team player and ability to work successfully in culturally diverse environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • SAP BRIM implementation experience and knowledge of SAP Product Catalog an advantage.
  • Implementation experiences of Utilities Industry a plus.
  • Activate methodology and Solution Manager experience a requirement.
  • Graduate / Post-Graduate degree in Management, IT or Engineering, or equivalent Telecom industry experience.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 1 to 2 year of Telecom, Utilities industry and international work experience.
  • Minimum of 8 -10 years of SAP implementation experience.
  • Deep understanding of E2E Telecom & Utilities customer centric processes, solutions and applications and a track record of delivering value from such large-scale projects in Telecom.
