The Consultant is a lead member of the Investment Operations Outsourcing (IOO) Subject Matter Expert team that provides comprehensive, in-depth consulting, support and leadership to the team and business partners. The Consultant carries out activities and projects that are larger in scope and more cross-functional and technically difficult. The role is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and implementation of strategic direction of business function activities. The Consultant plays a key role ensuring service quality and is seen as a key advisor on significant business decisions.

This role is within the IOO Client Reporting team which would focus on non-BAU activities, including client implementations, enterprise application updates, operational efficiency, and client change. The role would also need to work closely with the oversight teams and other internal parties to initiate solutions for large scale impacting issues relating to reporting and invoicing and to review processes in order to maximise productivity using the applications and tools available.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
  • Work in conjunction with Business Analysts, Project Managers in the PMO to provide business input into strategic projects and operational change requests relating to reporting and fees and to ensure that projects progress smoothly within the set deadlines.
  • Work alongside the Client Implementations team to migrate new clients onto the NT IOO platform, completing analysis, documentation, and overseeing the development required to provide fully branded client reports in the lead up to the onboarding of a new IOO client.
  • Business representation for the reporting workstream for any new client implementation. Attend workstream meetings, attend client meetings for requirements gathering, provide operational readiness sign off and ensure that there is a comprehensive handover to the BAU teams.
  • Preparation and review of project documents, ensuring that business requirements are fully and clearly identified.
  • Complete business analysis for reporting and fee invoicing projects as required, ensuring that all findings are clearly presented.
  • Co-ordinate any testing required and report results as required.
  • Work with the Client Change Management team to provide business input into any client requested changes, providing analysis, participating in client discussions where necessary and completing testing and sign off.
  • Facilitate training requirements on any new processes or system changes.
  • Work with the managers of the oversight and offshore teams to review existing processes with a view to identifying and implementing improvements or additional controls that may be required.
  • To work closely with other internal departments to provide the best possible service to clients.
  • Assist the Oversight and Offshore teams with complex queries when required and escalate as necessary.
  • Work closely and provide periodic reporting on projects being run through within the business.

Skills/ Qualifications:
  • Should be able to produce visual and numerical representation on projects, assignments allocated and provide periodic status updates on those
  • Must have a strong understanding of client operations processes
  • Excellent problem solving skills with ability to consider potential downstream impacts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and also internally, and at both team and management level
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Additionally have the ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision
  • Ability to adapt to multiple demands and prioritize in a pressurised environment with set deadlines
