This job is in-person in Amritsar, India


JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our team. The HR Manager will be responsible for managing all HR functions, including but not limited to recruitment, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and compliance with labor laws.


In addition to HR functions, the HR Manager will provide high-level administrative support to the Head of School, Academic Director, Residential Life Director and Continuing Education Director The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.


HR RESPONSIBILITIES
:

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with MPA’s goals and objectives

  • Manage the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring of new employees

  • Make travel arrangements for those applying from out of town

  • Manage set-up of accommodation for those living on campus

  • Ensure compliance with all labor laws and regulations

  • Provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related matters

  • Manage performance appraisal and management systems

  • Oversee employee benefits and compensation packages

  • Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge

  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records

  • Monitor and report on HR metrics and trends


EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide administrative support to the Head of School, Academic Principal, Residential Life Director and Continuing Education Director, including scheduling meetings, and managing calendars.

  • Make travel arrangements for school trips.

  • Arrange purchases for academic and residential life needs.

  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents.

  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR management

  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and regulations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software

  • International experience in a multicultural environment
