Job Summary
The role will be responsible to conceive and conceptualize the overall sales strategy of the organization, implement and drive it across all regions in West India. The role is responsible for driving revenues and profitability at national level.
What you’ll do
Primary Job Responsibilities - Assist the Directors in developing the Annual Business Plan for the organization and forecast Monthly/quarterly Business Projections - Examine the market trends and business competitor to develop the sales strategy and implement the same to ensure constant achievements of the business goals and targets. - Monitor sales policies, processes and standards established in line with the overall business strategy of the company - Translate and deploy at country level the sales strategy for sales team to achieve its budget, revenues and strategic goals - Prepare a top level business plan for the sales team and cascade throughout the function. Ensure Branch, and Region sales business plans fit in with the country business plan - Assist Regional Head in achieving Revenue and Operating income targets for regional offices by designing appropriate strategies, plans and programs and implementing these through the regional office team. - Monitor Regional and branch revenue and Gross Profit versus budgets /targets for the sales function. - Establish potential product opportunities through identifying new developments within the sales channels customers and competitors within the local market. - Identify all accounts to be focused on within India that will contribute to the achievement of the revenue and profit budget - Strong follow-ups on BD proposals till conversion, and identify reasons for non-conversion, where applicable. - Assess viability of a new assignment in terms of profit, client background and therein taking decision for new business tie-up in consultation with the Management. - Ensure timely collection of payments from the clients and minimize bad debts - Monitor the development of customer relationships throughout the function at all levels. - Ensure customers are kept up to date with relevant information and reports, where applicable. - Establish appropriate relationships and communicate with other relevant functional areas. - Develop sales leads from business contacts and personal networking - Responsible for the cost management of the sales function and achieving revenue targets as set by the management - Analyze the deviation from the budgeted plan and prepare counter measures - Responsible for Client retention and generating recurring business. - Deploy and monitor Sales processes, policies and procedures in order to ensure the consistency, efficiency and quality of - internal and external customer expectations. - Lead, motivate and empower staff through effective and open communication, excellent leadership, regular performance feedback and teambuilding, in order to maximize customer satisfaction, business results and employee satisfaction - Ensure the presence of brand across markets and periodically assess the health of business distribution - Ensure timely preparation and circulation of sales MIS to the Directors. - Create training strategy in coordination with the HR Department. Oversee & monitor the overall training and development needs for the entire sales force of the organization - Perform the role of a people manager for the department.
