Key responsibilities

1) Performance Management, control, analyse and maintenance of cost key figures for Hamburg Süd, driving improvements and provide insight using visualization of trends through close coordination with business stakeholders.

2)Analyse unit cost/standard cost developments and recommend actions.Reconciliation of Key Figure data with Maersk standard cost.

3) Document processes and implement improvements and efficiencies
5)Drive and support automation of key figure process
6)Provide insight, influence and impact business decisions
7)Pursue philosophy of one set of numbers
8)Be the go to person for technical and business questions on reported key figures
9)Support the global cost Control process
10)perform spot checks and audits on key figure quality and accuracy
11)Support synergies between Maersk and Hamburg Süd key figure processes
12)Support Terminal, Intermodal, EMR, Leasing and Empty Costs related projects and IT-system enhancements related to key figure process
13)Liaise and coordinate with Maersk and Hamburg Süd Business Finance, LOC and Commercial teams

We are looking for

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Finance or Economics or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of related industry experience is a plus
  • Work experience from a similar position within business control, performance management, business development or equivalent
  • Prior experience in an operational/commercial role is advantageous
  • Advanced technical skills in Access, Power BI, Power point & Excel
  • Proficient in English language

Key Competencies and Skills:
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience in transformation projects advantageous
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills combined with ability to condense detailed subject matter into clear and effective communications
  • Ability to translate financial data into Operations/Commercial explanations
  • Problem solving attitude.
  • Proven trusted partnering skills – key parameters are meeting deadlines and accurately display and convey information
  • Results oriented, drives issues to closure
  • Possesses strong business knowledge and affinity to shipping systems
  • Organization and time management skills; prioritizing (based on impact), planning work activities efficiently to meet deadlines and high level goals
