Job Description:

The Bookkeeper is responsible for all day-to-day accounting functions for this office; including basic payroll. You will negotiate vendor contracts for best pricing (cleaning crew, office equipment repairs techs, etc.). Review sales contracts to determine accurate pricing quotes, available materials, etc. Create invoices, collect payment installments from team or client, and generate weekly reporting. Review and approve expense reports. All account receivable and account payable duties. Some front end “soft” collections

How You’ll Contribute:

  • Bookkeeping services for multiple clients including bank deposits, reconciling monthly credit card, bank, and investment statements
  • Prepare and file sales tax and payroll tax returns
  • Assist with month-end close process
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Develop monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
  • Assist with audits as needed
  • Assist with year-end close process
  • Provide financial reports as needed
  • Balance and maintain accurate ledgers
  • Match purchase orders with invoices
  • Coordinate bank deposits and report financial results on a regular basis to management
  • Monitor office expenses and tally and enter cash receipts
  • Pay vendor invoices and track bank account balances
  • Reconcile/maintain/input data from various bank accounts and credit cards.
  • Able to do general ledger entries
  • Post transfers from various accounts
  • Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
  • 1-2 years working as a Bookkeeper preferred
  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • QuickBooks Certified along with experience in other cloud accounting apps (like Bill.com and Receipt bank), preferred.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel/ G Suite
  • Ability to interact with clients
  • Graduate in Commerce or Accounting related

  • Certifications or experience in cloud computing applications (Preferred)
