The ideal candidate will have a passion for software architecture and development following Agile methodologies in a continuous delivery environment.
The successful candidate will have a passion for building cloud native, microservices oriented, containerized, high-quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with the IBM Cloud Service Framework. The candidate will participate in requirements gathering, sprint planning, architecture, design and technical review to support overall achievement of business objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the overall architecture andd participate in the design and implementation of sophisticated software systems front end and backend.
• Participate in software design and code reviews. Reviews include other Software Engineers and are held to ensure a high level of software quality and to share knowledge with team members.
• Participate in, and adhere to, professional software engineering practices using such tools and methodologies as Agile Software Development, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Source Code Management (git), and GitHub
• Maintain a high level of proficiency with Computer Science/Software Engineering knowledge and contribute to the technical skills growth of other team members
• Work well independently and as part of a team

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 12+ Years of Experience

Required General skills

• Full-cycle (Agile) software development - Analysis, design, feature execution, automation, support
• A passion for technology and software development
• Strong technical and critical thinking skills
• Good collaboration and communications – working with diverse global teams
• Strong teaming skills and proven leadership skills
• Mentoring and staff technical skills development
• Be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work under minimal guidance with demonstrated analytical and problem¬ solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent
• Required Qualifications
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in full stack software development Experience developing with languages like Java, Javascript, Cloud native, microservices, containers, Kunernetes, OpenShift experience
• Experience developing with languages like Java, Javascript, nodejs
• Experience using build, deployment and development tools like Git, Travis, Jenkins, Yarn/NPM
• Back-end service development technologies:
  • NodeJs applications
  • APIs: Restful APIs, Swagger
  • Java web application development
  • Database skills with SQL and NoSQL experience

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience with Data Engineering
• Experience with Automation and understanding on what and how it can be improved to improve the overall Product Quality
