What the role is about

We are seeking a talented QA lead who will be responsible for managing a QA team of Automation and Manual Test Engineers, providing technical leadership to the team and owning end-to-end quality of the Product.

What will you do?

• Lead QA team comprising of Manual Test and Automation or Dev in Test (SDET) engineers following an agile development methodology

• Coordinate with project management and development leads to ensure high quality of software deliverables.

• Contribute in the design and evolution of the product

• Continually contribute in improving the engineering processes, code quality, documentation, and tools.

• Develop deep understanding of the products.

• Review requirements, design, code and documentation of product components.

• Responsible for production of test plans, reports and quality metrics.

• Design and review test cases, develop and use test frameworks and write automated scripts.

• Perform Functional, Exploratory, Regression and Performance testing.

• Logging issues, defect tracking and triaging with product managers and development leads.

• Perform impact analysis to identify areas of risk within the product.

• Build and maintain test environments.

• Replicate and investigate customer reported issues to assist technical support team and solution engineers. Responsible for growth and mentoring of team members.

Key Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

· 9+ years of overall experience in software testing and QA.

· 2+ years of QA lead experience in managing teams of test engineers.

· Experience in solving complex and large scale software issues found during development or reported by customers.

· Practical experience working in Agile Development teams.

· Solid understanding of concepts related to Operating Systems, Web Servers, Virtualization and Networking.

· Experience of testing on Windows OS.

· Experience in testing web based software products.

· Proficiency with SQL database.

· Practical experience of using version control systems, especially GIT or SVN.

· Outstanding communication and writing skills. Strong project management and people management skills.

Desirable:

· Hands-on experience in White Box testing or API testing.

· Development experience in .NET, C# or C++.

· Experience of working with High-end Data centre solutions like SQL Server Clustering or Oracle RAC

· ISTQB or CSQA certified. Working knowledge of SCCM
