Job Purpose

• Provide expert leadership for the development and implementation of best practices and innovative approaches related to environment, sustainability and risk management.
• Drive TSL to attain industry leadership position by coordinating with all relevant stakeholders to adopt best practices and technologies for global industry benchmarks.
• Drive to maintain environmental quality assurance and compliance to legislations in TSL.
• Leading and providing oversight to the development of knowledge products in the Environment and Sustainability initiatives.
• Develop and implement capacity building program for the key stakeholders, and staff, through e-learning modules, workshops, etc.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and harmonization efforts through conferences, external knowledge management publications and others.

Responsibilities

• Apprise higher management regarding relevant environmental issues and development in legislations and compliance.
• Organize networking, represent and make presentations as required with the regulatory bodies and environmental experts including academic institutions and other external stakeholders- State Pollution Control Boards, State Governments, Central Pollution Control Board and Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change.
• To provide policy and strategic support, capacity building, development of knowledge products and dissemination, coordination of safeguards and sustainability partnership and networks as well as in other non-operational activities.

Minimum Qualification : B.Tech/ M.Tech in Engineering/ Ph.D. in Science (preferably in Environment/ Chemistry)

Experience:15 years’ related experience in handling environment projects, regulatory clearances and compliances, and overall Environment Management in steel/ mining/ power sector
