Overview

Main purpose:

The job holder is responsible for supporting & ensuring consistent implementation of processes & policies related to the various domains of Human Resources, i.e. Salary and Benefits, Recruitment, Core HR processes, Grievance Redressal, Contractual Manpower & Vendor Management, and Statutory Compliances. This position is also responsible for security management at site and dealing with external legislative and local authorities.

Responsibilities

Accountability:

Salary And Benefits

  • Drive the frontline wage revision and govern the benefits schemes
  • Conduct benchmarking study with the industry on frontline salary and benefits
  • Act as a subject matter expert advising and guiding plant employees on PepsiCo policies
  • Coordinate with payroll team and PF consultant in ensuring compliance to social welfare schemes and matters.
  • Govern the frontline payroll processing, right starting from payroll inputs to bank transfer.
  • Ensure 100% compliance to GCS controls on Payroll.

Annual Operating Plan

  • Responsible for formulating the annual operating plans for the cost heads under its control
  • Partner with HR manager in ensuring that the costs are within the annual plans.

Recruitment

  • Lead the recruitment agenda of the site for L1 to L5 employees
  • Self-sourcing of candidates against open positions and closure of vacancy within agreed TAT.
  • Co-ordinate with recruitment consultants for sourcing candidates for critical skills
  • Ensure adherence to PepsiCo recruitment policies and guidelines.

Core HR Processes

  • Partner with HR Manager in driving the PepsiCo core people process
  • Ensure well defined PDR’s of frontline teams at the year beginning
  • Ensure Mid-year and year end PDR review of L1-L5 and frontline team. Also ensure Focal Point Discussion happen timely and in a right manner.

Grievance Redressal Mechanism

  • Identifying needs/problems of employees through formal/ informal channels and working to address them

Contractual Manpower & Vendor Management

  • Partner business in ensuring the right and timely deployment of contractual manpower through vendors
  • Govern the direct labour productivity and suggest means of improvement
  • Partner with operating teams in reducing and eliminating inefficiencies related to manpower like: OT, habitual absenteeism etc.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining harmonious and progressive employee relations in the plant through effective shop floor connect
  • Maintaining harmonious relations with community members like sarpanches & village headmen
  • Ensuring strict adherence to statutory laws & maintains statutory registers & ensures returns filing for all direct & contract employees
  • Responsible for proper upkeep of the external area in terms of housekeeping and good maintenance practices. Ensuring the monthly GMP audits of the above mentioned area and closing the gaps those come out of the said audit
  • To ensure zero LTA & attend the monthly Safety Meetings from HR and implement agreed action plans to increase safety
  • Responsible for HR MIS and Monthly Reports to BU and PWF

  • Labour laws related compliances.
  • Factory act related compliances

Qualifications

Key skills and Experience:

Graduate with a diploma/degree in Human Resource Management, MBA is preferred.

Experience in FMCG will be an added advantage.

Knowledge about labour Laws & applicable statutory acts.
