About the Role:

Our Professional Services – Virtual Service Delivery team is responsible for best-in-class implementation of Commvault software and hardware deployment for our global customers and partners within timeframe allowed as a part of a Project team.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure Commvault hardware and software following the design specifications provided to meet the customer’s technical and business requirements.
  • Assess customer readiness to determine if all the technical pre-requisites have been met to proceed with the next steps in a project.
  • Perform data migration tasks to transition the customer from the previous backup infrastructure to the new infrastructure.
  • Install and configure backup agents to protect the customers applications, databases, and hypervisors.
  • Work with the customer and Commvault technical support and/or development to troubleshoot any technical issues blocking progress.
  • Provide daily updates on the progress and obstacles to the Project Manager for the deployment.
  • Complete required documentation associated with client projects in a timely fashion, including User Acceptance Test Plans and As-Built Documentation.
  • Stay up to date on the latest best practices to ensure the smoothest possible project delivery.
  • Assist / Work in collaboration with Technical Architect from regional theaters for our global customers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Engineering from Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics OR Bachelor of Computer Application + Master of Computer Application.
  • Commvault or any other backup product experienced professional with 7+ years of relevant experience in Technical Support / Professional Services / Managed Services / Backup Administration
  • Required Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge & experience of Networking, Storage & Linux Operating System
    • Proficiency with TCP/IP networking
    • Proficiency with SCSI, iSCSI, or Fibre Channel
    • Commvault implementation & troubleshooting experience
    • Proficiency with backup and recovery of Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams)
    • Proficiency with backup and recovery of Microsoft Applications (SQL Server, SharePoint and Exchange)
    • Proficiency with backup and recovery of databases (Oracle, SAP/Oracle, SAP HANA)
  • Preferred Technical Skills:
    • Hands-on experience with object storage (AWS S3, NetApp StorageGRID)
    • Hands-on experience with data archive and search
    • Hands-on experience with private cloud (VMware, Hyper-V)
    • Hands-on experience with public cloud (AWS, Azure)
    • Proficiency with Linux scripting
  • Desired Technical Skills:
    • Advanced Industry Certification (AWS, VMWare, Microsoft, Linux)
    • Advanced Commvault Certification (Solutions Architect, Master)
  • Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task and effectively prioritize within a high volume/time sensitive environment
  • Ability to take detailed notes, work independently and efficiently to communicate effectively as a member of a remote workforce
  • Excellent communication etiquette, including strong verbal, written communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and then leverage gained knowledge.
  • Enjoy working in a highly technical team environment
  • Customer focused approach with strong customer service skills
