A Day in Your Life at MKS:

The IT Analyst, Compliance is responsible for monitoring, assessing, and improving security configuration and patch compliance across our systems to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect against potential cyber threats. This role involves conducting regular scans, generating reports on compliance status, collaborate with managed service providers and cross-functional teams to track and remediate any issues. You will help safeguard critical data and maintain a robust security posture for our EUC and other services.

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Conduct regular scans to assess the security configuration and patch compliance of our systems.
  • Assess the impact of security vulnerabilities on our systems.
  • Collaborate with managed service providers and internal teams to plan and execute remediation activities.
  • Coordinate and execute patch management activities, including patch deployment and scheduling.
  • Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines related to security configuration and patch management for effective compliance and patch management.
  • Monitor the progress of remediation efforts and ensure timely resolution of security issues.
  • Investigate and work with partners to remediate patching failures and conflicts.
  • Stay current with security industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor security bulletins, alerts, and advisories to stay informed about potential vulnerabilities and patches.
  • Provide recommendations for improving security posture based on scan results.
  • Generate comprehensive reports on compliance status, vulnerabilities, and remediation progress.
  • Maintain detailed records of patching activities and ensure compliance with patch management policies.

Skills You Bring:

  • 3 years of hands-on working experience in patch, and compliance management.
  • Deep understanding of Information Technology and Information Security operations.
  • Proven experience in patch management and patch compliance.
  • Knowledge of common operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, macOS) and network infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools and patch management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple projects.

Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) is a plus.
