Material Controller - GG04

Provides entry level administration to support planning activities within a relevant area/site under close guidance. Duties are undertaken with close supervision and clear instructions, with very limited room to deviate.

  • Assist in performing physical inventories.
  • Responsible for the put-away of all raw materials and finished goods. This includes using scanning equipment that is tied into DSI/JDE One World and labelling raw materials and finished goods.
  • Responsible for package preservation which includes the shrink wrapping, banding, and staging of all finished goods.
  • Check and maintain movement of inventory on site, must keep accurate records of inventory levels and location for easy retrieval
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of the stock management system and preparation of stock transfer documents and tracking of all movements trough SAP
  • Manage and control continuous inventory stock counting / inventory accuracy checks.
  • Minimise overstocks and removal of obsolete raw materials to maximize availability of working capital
  • Ensure that goods inward stock control is well organised and controlled to sufficiently support production
  • Ensure materials are ready and available for production as and when required.
  • Ensure that any materials that are late or holding up production for whatever reason are chased and followed up until received and QC released.
  • Ensure that rejected material is being accounted for and assist in sorting rejects
  • Be responsible for managing and running planned stock takes
  • Ensure works orders are correct and fully completed and that all stock has been allocated to the job correctly.
  • Produce daily reports to ensure key critical areas of the stock system are controlled and any discrepancies addressed and resolved.
  • Ensuring Quarantine and aged WIP products are used in order to prevent aging of parts
  • Manage control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved.
  • Ensures that all non-production materials are received in accordance to JM rules and regulations and perform daily checks of GRN before being transferred to procurement
  • To perform activities according the established EHS system and to suggest improvements of the same.
  • To promote, establish and maintain collaborative approach and communication with all employees within the plant.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and the implementation of best practice principles, to enhance performance and operations
  • Be responsible for preparation of export of finished goods, starting from QA release, preparation of pick lists, delivery notes and transfer invoices.
  • Be responsible for issuing and maintaining stock of PPE
Minimum 5 years of experience must in warehouse and dispatch. (Desirable)

SAP knowledge is must.
