  • JOB PURPOSE (Briefly describe the general purpose of the position or its significance from the organization’s point of view and how it contributes to the overall mission/objective of the organization). This position exists to manage the entire product management activities related Pricing, Benchmarking, Sourcing proto types & finalise product specifications. Additionally this position will liaison between Marketing and Plant-based functions to derive product demand/manage change/solve problems in unified/structured manner and will Coordinate as nodal point between Sales, R&D, TS, Plant, Quality, Purchase)
  • RESPONSIBILITY

1 To do competition mapping like pricing, product specifications, product benchmarking, literature, events, sourcing prototypes

2 Doing market opportunity mapping like product, geography by analyzing market reports

3 Analyse the market for compititors products to target customer mapping like top OEMs, belt distributors, bearing distributors, etc.

4 Do product application analysis

5 Implement activities to market a new product, like product launch strategy/implementation, product nomenclature, branding, literature, pricing, communication, promotion, packaging.

6 Be a voice of customer for New Product Development activities

7 Suggest features and products that can be introduced for the specific market or product segment

5 Prepare product USP’s and presentation

6 Analyse costing and dimensions related activities for packaging of the product in line with customer requirements

7 Execute activities related to sample management

8 Ensure new size/tool addition opportunity criteria

9 Prioritization of in-house projects based on market demand, gestation period, and strategic importance

10 Doing demand forecast

11 Coordinate on change management with Customer/market feedback for quality, delivery, aesthetics, packging, documentation

12 Track and review daily billing activities and dispatch plan with logistics team

13 Ascertain improevemnts achieved through implementation and possible benefits in terms of ROI for the proposed ideas or actions to implement

14 Ensure product change management (manage change criteria)

15 Ensure price management (review, change criteria, docmentation, communication)

16 Resolve issues alog with Technical Services team with respect to technical and application

17 Collect feedback from relevant stakeholders post productionisation of product and resolve issues post productionisation along with team

18 Review of customer complaints trend and corrective action implementation

19 Need to travel to concerned stake holders as per requirements of organisation

  • Authority (List the authorities associated with the job)

1 To suggest changes in product on observing abnormilities in application of products

2 Timely decisions related to product management cycle from planning to marketing

3 Suggest inputs regarding Capex to engineering and purchase team in line with product requirements

Qualification BE

Industry Manufacturing industry, Auto ancillaries

Addnl. Qualification MBA will be preferred
