Job Description For Ph.D Candidate

Candidate must have following criteria:

Education: Ph.D in Chemistry and M.Sc. in Organic chemistry, Industrial Chemistry or Inorganic Chemistry with first class.
Experience: Minimum 6 to 8 years of industrial experience in R & D.
Skills and Knowledge: Candidates must have basic knowledge of different Unit operation, Handling of high pressure autoclave, Hydrogenation, Chlorination, Bromination, Handling of moisture sensitive products, Polymer catalyst and Polymerization experience will be an added advantage.

Responsibility

Should handle the team of 2 to 6 chemists for the R&D development.
Responsible for developing New products, Process improvements, cost reduction and quality improvements in existing products.
Must have knowledge of literature search through the internet/ Scifinder.
Selection of process for the best feasible route
Planning and execution of lab trials.
Basic knowledge of Analytical testing of GC, HPLC, DSC, TGA, NMR, IR, AAS. etc.
Should have basic knowledge of safety like What if, Hazop, PSSR and Hazard review of products though MSDS
Knowledge of SOP preparation, guide team members for the day to day activities.
Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly report and Project report preparation.
Support Engineering and plant team for the troubleshooting.
Procurement of raw materials and equipment.
Should have basic knowledge of the IMS / ISO / Responsible care audit system.
