About the Job

Responsible for developing and executing the overall sales strategy for the company. Primary duties include managing and leading sales operations, driving sales growth, and directing sales staff to achieve the company’s sales goals.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies to promote the company’s products and services in the steel industry.
  • This includes identifying target markets, analysing customer needs, and creating campaigns that will effectively reach and engage potential customers.
  • Oversee and contribute to the production planning meetings that defines the production and sales target and timelines.
  • Liaise with relevant department heads to ensure all sales orders are met on time.
  • Responsible for managing and leading the sales team, which include sales managers, account executives, and sales representatives.
  • This involves setting clear goals and objectives, providing guidance and support, and ensuring that all team members are working together to achieve the company’s sales objectives.
  • Must stay up to date with industry trends and changes in the market. They should conduct market research to identify new opportunities and potential threats and use this information to inform their sales strategies.
  • Must collaborate closely with other departments within the company, such as marketing, engineering, and product development, to ensure that all sales initiatives are aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and industry partners to stay informed about their needs and preferences, and to promote the company’s products and services effectively.
  • Regularly interact with key customers to ensure all sales orders are processed on time and that the payments for the same are received as well.
  • Receive, validate, and maintain all SS sales metrics and report them to relevant stakeholders appropriately.
  • Regularly analyse sales metrics such as revenue growth, customer acquisition, and customer retention to evaluate the effectiveness of their sales strategies and revaluate as needed.
  • Responsible for managing the sales budget, ensuring that resources are allocated appropriately and that all sales activities are cost-effective.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field is required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Min 10+ years of experience in sales and marketing
  • Market Knowledge: A strong understanding of the stainless-steel industry, including market trends, competition, customer needs, and opportunities for growth.
  • Sales Management: The ability to create and manage a sales pipeline, including forecasting, monitoring sales metrics, and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills to secure deals and partnerships that benefit the company.
  • Analytical Skills: The ability to analyse data and identify trends, develop insights, and make data-driven decisions to achieve business objectives.
  • Financial Management: The ability to manage the sales and marketing budget, including forecasting and cost control.
