Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining trusted client relationships at all levels within a client’s organization
  • Lead IBM Public Cloud related discussions with customer
  • Meet clients F2F or other means and explain IBM Cloud capabilities, its advantages and differentiation
  • Build and maintain a constant/future revenue pipeline
  • Track and report on all opportunities, pipeline, and bookings to provide forecast reports to region management
  • Understand client’s business requirements, technical requirements and/or competitive landscape
  • Provide guidance on cloud architecture, practices & solutions to help business units build & deliver solution improvements
  • You will work with roadmaps and technical plans (focused on IBM Public Cloud) to enable the strategic goals of your clients
  • Build a diverse and inclusive high performing team made up for technical sellers having Solution Architecture, IaaS, PaaS, application, security and compliance backgrounds
  • Cultivate an agile culture focused on client success, continuous upskilling, and sharing of knowledge.
  • Communicate and align pre-sales execution to IBM strategy and priorities.
  • Continuously expand essential business, industry, technology, and competitive knowledge in IBM Public cloud offering
  • Provide regular coaching and guidance to team.
  • Champions an entrepreneurial and growth mindset.
  • Quickly engage appropriate technical and OM resources to address specific client requirements that may demand additional functionality or service SMEs
  • Creation of reusable presentations, white papers, and demos
  • Help teams to map IBM Public Cloud controls to client control sets
  • Communication: Advise other professionals. Effectively utilize group dynamics. Negotiate to define approaches and goals
  • Leadership: Highly motivated, self driven individual who provides ongoing technical /operational guidance to lead professional work teams, conducts special projects, defines and decides objectives within specified business concept or project and may have responsibility for tools and assigned resources. Utilizes expertise to directly influence people outside department or function
  • Problem Solving; Recognize complex problems related to functional objectives. Analyze situations and implement solutions, or develop new system elements, procedures or processes. Creativity and judgment applied to developmental work on different projects within the business environment.
  • Technical: Keeps current on industry practices, regulations, technology, etc, and demonstrates technical knowledge in area of responsibility
  • Interpersonal Skills: Builds networks / bridges with internal and external counterparts
  • Customer Orientation: Provides products and services that maeet or exceed the needs and requirements of internal and external customers

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
  • At least 10 years of technical pre-sales cloud experience with a strong track record of success with large complex clients.
  • 7+ years of experience relationship building and influencing at the C-level
  • At least 5 years of hybrid cloud experience.
  • At least 5 years of Cloud solutions experience.
  • At least 2 years using agile practices
  • At least 5 years of technical pre-sales cloud experience with a strong track record of success with large complex clients.
  • Possess decision-making, creative problem solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Can keep pace in a rapidly changing environment, which requires prioritization, constant learning, juggling multiple responsibilities at once, and taking calculated risks.
Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise
  • Industry expertise – FSS, Insurance, Media etc
  • At least 5 years of technical sales, people management experience with incentive-based plans.
  • Deep knowledge of IBM Cloud and competitive cloud offerings
  • At least 10 years of technical pre-sales cloud experience with a strong track record of success with large complex clients.
