The Role

AspenTech is a leading supplier of software that optimizes process manufacturing – including oil and gas, petroleum, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and other industries that manufacture and produce products from a chemical process. With integrated aspenONE solutions, process manufacturers can implement best practices for optimizing their engineering, manufacturing and supply chain operations. As a result, AspenTech customers are better able to increase capacity, improve margins, reduce costs and become more energy efficient.

We are seeking a Sr Global Practice Manager within our Solution Implementation Advisory organization (SIA) based out of Pune, India office. Major responsibility is to work together with our senior directors providing solution support within the real time dynamic optimisation (RTDO) and Advanced Process Control (APC) field using computer-based optimization and modelling tools. This role will be reporting directly to the GDOT Global Practice Director.

This is a unique position for an exceptional Engineer to develop into a dynamic optimisation professional and support the organization internally and work closely with customers using our suite of modeling and optimization technologies. The role will require traveling to customer locations from time to time.

Your Impact

  • Primarily working with our Aspen Generic Dynamic Optimization Technology (GDOT) solutions.
  • Solution credibility to gather data/document and summary Client requirements and address the business process issues that AspenTech solutions will address.
  • Design and configure model-based decision support systems and data integration with external systems and databases.
  • Support project teams to ensure projects achieve stated milestones, delivery dates and financial goals.
  • Maintain and extend client satisfaction levels and develop opportunities for additional optimisation solutions.
  • Work cooperatively with the AspenTech extended team in Sales, Support, R+D and Partners to ensure successful project delivery and completion.
  • Assist the sales organization and Services management team in preparing and delivering complex bids and proposals to major corporate clients.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of operating industry experience
  • Background with process operation, Advanced Process Control (APC), or process optimization will be an advantage for this role
  • Fast learner with a desire/motivation to learn cutting-edge new technologies
  • A team player with the ability to relate to customers and maintain good working relationships
  • Good spoken and written skills in English language
  • Other languages a definite asset but not a requirement
