POSITION TITLE: Senior Release Engineer

REPORTING TO: Manager

REPORTING LOCATION: Bangalore

WORKING LOCATION: Bangalore

SUMMARY OF POSITION AND OBJECTIVES:

The Senior Release Engineer role will be responsible for deploying builds across the environments pipelines, setting up new environments, creating Release Management documentation and coordinating Release plans with stakeholders.

This role is key for Eurofins Software implementation and daily deployment activities, linking Requirements Management, Development, Quality, Operations and Customers Representatives.

Job description:

• Facilitates Release Management & Deployment activities for Product Releases, ensuring quality across environments pipelines.
• Produces Deployment Run Books and Implementation Plans.
• Manages risks and resolves issues that affect Release scope, schedule or quality.
• Drives root cause analyses and lessons learnt sessions for process and Product continuous improvement.
• Maintains the Release schedule for all core services and ensures alignment of all key partners and vendors.
• Leads and coordinates the Go-Live, Major Upgrades and Patching activities, including the execution of the deployment Plans, trackers and checklists.
• Coordinate Release and Patches contents and efforts based on the service requests backlog, pending service requests, third-party applications or operating system updates.
• Communicates project plans, schedules, dependencies, contents, scopes, commitments, and changes to relevant stakeholders.
• Conducts Release Readiness reviews, Milestones Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go ceremonies with stakeholders.
• Participates to Change Advisory Board meetings to submit, detail, and advertise Production Changes.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Requirements:

• 6-8 years of experience in Release and Deployment Management
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams
• Effective leadership and strong analytical skills
• Advanced troubleshooting and organizational skills
• Proven experience in Agile context
• Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
• Document Management for GxP Compliance is an advantage

• CI/CD deployment tools like Octopus or equivalent
• Ticketing Tools: JIRA, Service now
• Scripting: PowerShell, Python, VBA
• OS: Windows, Linux
• Database: MSSQL, MongoDB
• Cloud Platforms: Azure, AWS
